Emano orchestrating Jaraula ease-out?

CAGAYAN DE ORO – Local opposition leaders are convinced that the reports on how Mayor Constantino Jaraula and the latter’s policies are to blame for PaDayon Pilipino party member losses are all part of PaDayon Pilipino titular head Vice-Mayor Vicente Emano’s own orchestration.

This either to create a scenario that will justify the easing out of Jaraula before the incumbent mayor’s term of office expires or to justify a preparation for the coming in an Emano political dummy or the latter’s very own daughter Atty. Nadia Emano in 2010.

PaDayon Pilipino party political lieutenants city councilors Emmanuel Abejuela, Reynaldo Advincula and Alexander Dacer recently revealed that a number of party members particularly those serving in the barangays are seriously considering or had already bolted out of their party because of Jaraula and the latter’s policies.

Emano yesterday made an announcement that he will not tolerate infightings

he has nothing to do with the complaints hurled by party members against City Mayor Constantino Jaraula and the latter’s way of managing City Hall’s affairs.

“Kanang mga reklamo sa mga kapitan batok ni Mayor Jaraula ilaha kanang istilyo o discarte (The complaints raised by PaDayon Pilipino barangay chairpersons against Mayor Jaraula is their own style or way of doing things),” he said over radio interview yesterday.

However, Emano uttered such words under the context of how he will not tolerate infightings within his party ranks or ‘verbal back-stabbing’ by one party member against the other.

He also gave reiterated that he has decided to give Jaraula free reign over City Hall management and will respect the decision of the latter, thus, subordinate party members should do so as well.

“Dili ko batasan ang gaungan ang usa ka tao… kadtong wala mahimuot na kanako o dili namo ganahan nako og wala na kamo gugma kanako adto nalang kamo sa pikas (It is not my nature to force people…for those who are no longer happy with me or no longer like me or no longer have any love for me, you can all go join the opposition group),” he said.

Emano then revealed that he is currently keeping a ‘Naughty-or-Nice Names List’ particularly on those who are doing such ‘abhorrent’ party offenses along with those who are no longer treating him so kindly because of his occupying a lower rank this time.

“Naghilum lang ko. Pero gabantay ako sa mga tao kung kinsa gyud ang tinuod ko nga kauban, sumusunod og higala (I am just keeping my peace. But I am observing those people who are really my true party member, my true follower and my true friend),” he said.

He added that a day of reckoning will come for those who are on the ‘naughty’ side of the list.

Opposition members are convinced that Emano is already made fully aware that the number of Jaraula supporters are growing exponentially and the vice-mayor must act now to grab back some political control over the whole situation.

Atty. Frederico Gapuz had foreseen this scenario and had predicted the likelihood of how Emano’s political clout will wane down as the latter grows old and his friends leaving him.

However, he said Emano will not exit the political arena without perpetrating his own self through a weak political dummy or that of the latter’s own daughter into power.

“Emano is a political animal. He will always make sure that he is in a position of control and power,” Gapuz who served as Emano’s lawyer and confidante for 31 years said.

Opposition lawyers Atty. Rogelio Bagabuyo, Atty. Manuel Ravanera and Atty. Roy Raagas echoed out Gapuz’s words that Emano will try to create a scenario to justify the easing out of Jaraula and the mayor’s growing number of supporters.

But Ravanera raised this question, “But can Jaraula handle Emano?”
