Rotting Body of 8-year old girl Found in Abandoned Agora CR

The rotting body of an eight-year old girl was recently found inside an abandoned comfort room at the Agora Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT), police reported yesterday.

The dead body was identified to be Rossayve Basahan, a kindergarten student of the Agora Market mobile school.

PO1 Analiza Alicando told Gold Star Daily that the body was already in the state of decomposition and its foul smell that led IBT supervisor Monching Tumampos and his men to its location.

Agora Police senior inspector Gilbert Mijares Rollen and SPO3 Abner Adajar conducted the investigation and found that the victim sustained at least nine stabbed wounds.

Alicando said they believe that the victim was raped first before being stabbed to death as she was found without any underwear.

The victim’s mother Alma Basahan had reported her daughter to be missing as early as last January 25.

She said Rossayve was last seen at an internet café at around 5:00 in the afternoon but that her daughter did not return to their home that Sunday night.

Police officers believe that the body was already rotting inside the Agora terminal’s fourth cubicle comfort room while Mayor Constantino Jaraula, Vice-Mayor Vicente Emano and Bryan Erwin See led the ground breaking rites for the P250 Million face lifting of the same terminal last Wednesday.

“Naa na kadto siya pag-ground breaking kay baho naman ug gi-ulod na pag-ayo (The girl’s body was already there during the ground breaking as her body was already foul-smelling and filled with worms),” Alicando said.

She added that the forensic experts are now checking on the victim’s body while Adajar is now tasked as chief investigator on Basahan’s case.

Rollen said their initial investigation pointed to two suspects with one being a member of the notorious BM-29.

He added that they had invited a certain Reggie Tudtud for questioning as he was identified as one who was with the victim inside the internet café.
