Dumarpa said she immediately made the plea for the release of the Yemen national over the radio stations last January 30.
She said she gave out her cellular phone number on air and was finally contacted by the abductors last Feb. 7 to negotiate for the release of the victim.
“So, we went there and they release him. I did not have any money with me to pay them so I really still believe that these people have hearts,” she said.
Ardo said the Yemen national is a member of a non-government organization Baito as Sarikah Al Kahairy of the United Arab Emirates which is behind the construction of several charitable projects in the Lanao area.
